    Potato Poppers

Another one inspirational recipe which i got from the mall, i have already posted a inspirational recipe of chicken strip burger. But this is from a shop called Chic King in that mall. When i tasted it first time, it was like amazing. I started thinking about the ingredients and stuffs which were there. I know it had potatoes, but it was so fluffy like a sponge. When i came back home, i thought of imitating the same one with my own recipe and to my surprise t some out so good and fluffy like that. The reason behind the fluffiness is from the flour baking soda and lemon juice. And it was so yummy, we finished the entire plate in 5 mins..So try this out and let me know how it turned for you..

    Ingredients for Potato Poppers

    1. Potato - 2 large
    2. Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely
    3. Red Chilli Flakes - 1 tsp
    4. Garlic - 2 cloves minced
    5. Coriander Leaves / Cilantro - 4 tbsp Finely Chopped
    6. Salt to taste
    7. Sugar - 2 tsp
    8. Baking Soda - 1 tsp
    9. Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
    10. All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 to 4 tbsp + extra for rolling
    11. Oil for Deep Frying

    How to Make Potato Poppers

    1. Cook potatoes with skin till they are cooked, Let them cool down. Peel the skin and mash them.
    2. Now take the mashed potatoes in a bowl. Add in all the ingredients except oil.
    3. Mix well and shape it into a dough. It should be soft, not so sticky dough. Add more flour if needed.
    4. Now dust your work surface with flour. Take a portion of dough and roll it into a log.
    5. Cut it into small bite size portions. Roll those portions in flour to make small poppers.
    6. Repeat this with the remaining dough.
    7. At this point You can arrange them in a baking sheet and pop it in freezer. When it is frozen, gather all of them in a ziploc bag and
freeze. So you can fry them when you want.
    8. Or you can fry them straight away.
    9. Now heat oil for deep frying. The oil shouldn't be too hot. Drop the poppers in oil and fry till they turn golden, these poppers will puff a
      little in oil.
    10. Now drain them in paper towel.
    11. Serve these poppers with ketchup or mayo.

Is it must to freeze the balls before frying Bcoz when the time I put the poppers Into the oil it started breaking down 🙁

    19. Aarthi

@Anonymousi think then u should add more flour then, there is no need of freezing it.
